Data definitions
Tracked plan
A currently active plan represented in our public comparison dataset.
General-public plan
An active plan classified for general-public eligibility.
Age-restricted plan
An active senior or student/NS plan excluded from general-public market statistics.
Active plan
A plan currently considered available in our dataset; confirm on the provider site.
Discontinued plan
A plan manually marked inactive when identified as no longer available; it is omitted from current comparisons.

What SGSIMONLY adds

Provider websites are the primary source for plan facts. SGSIMONLY organises them into a consistent comparison dataset and adds calculations, general-public market statistics, network context, detected change history and user-specific comparison tools. It does not replace the provider's official information; confirm current terms and promotions with the provider before buying.

Data sources

Plan details are collected automatically from provider websites and public plan pages. We are not affiliated with any telco, and providers do not supply or approve the data shown here.

Automated collection and its limits

Plan information is collected and normalised automatically from tracked provider sources. Changes detected in the SGSIMONLY dataset are logged automatically. Manual intervention is used for data-quality corrections, plan-status decisions and user-submitted corrections.

Collection is automated, not human-verified line by line. Automated reading can make mistakes: short-term sign-up promos can be mistaken for standard prices, and combined roaming allowances can be misread as a single figure.

To limit this, suspicious values are filtered: very low prices typical of temporary promos are dropped, and unusually high roaming figures are blanked rather than shown. Providers whose websites cannot be read reliably (currently GOMO, redONE and Geneborn) are excluded from automatic refresh and updated by hand instead.

Refresh schedule

Plans are refreshed automatically every two weeks, on the 1st and 15th of each month, with occasional manual runs in between. Every plan shows its own "last checked" date so you can see how fresh each entry is.

Matching and duplicates

Each refresh matches plans by provider and name and updates them in place. A plan that a refresh does not return is never hidden automatically β€” it stays visible with its existing last-checked date. Plans are only hidden when they are clearly discontinued, duplicated or corrupted, and that is done by hand.

Normalisation

Provider pages describe plans differently, so each plan is stored in one format: monthly price (S$), local data (GB or unlimited), roaming data and region, talktime, SMS, IDD minutes, contract length in months, network type (4G / 5G / 5G+), eSIM support and eligibility (general, senior, student / NS).

Prices and promotions

Each plan shows a monthly price, and where a short-term promotion exists, the usual price and a promo note alongside it.

Calculations

  • Yearly cost = monthly price Γ— 12
  • Price per 10GB = monthly price Γ· local data (GB) Γ— 10 β€” fixed-data plans only, not unlimited
  • Market median = middle value of all active general-public plans

Roaming

Roaming is shown as an allowance and a region (for example Malaysia, Asia or worldwide), with unlimited flagged where applicable. When an automated read produces a roaming figure that looks wrong, we blank it rather than show a number we cannot stand behind.

Coverage and network data

District coverage scores come from public network measurement data, and each MVNO is mapped to its host network. Coverage figures are indicative of an area, not a guarantee for any specific address or building.

How the match score works

"Find my plan" uses one weighted scoring model, defined in a single configuration that the engine and every explanation read from:

  1. Mandatory filter: Only general-public plans are included; age-restricted plans are excluded. The Seniors profile instead keeps general-public and senior plans and excludes student/NS plans.
  2. Scoring factors: each factor is scaled 0–1 against a fixed cap (price vs $60, data per dollar vs 60GB/$, roaming vs 50GB, IDD vs 300 min, talktime vs 1,000 min; unlimited data counts as 1200GB). Factors take 80% of the score, split by the profile weights.
  3. Missing data: a missing allowance (for example no IDD or roaming figure) counts as 0 for that factor; it is never estimated.
  4. Unmet requirements: nothing beyond the mandatory filter excludes a plan. A weak or missing feature scores low on that factor and lowers the total in proportion to its weight (a contract still earns 0.6 on "No contract").
  5. Network quality (20%): with a district selected, the host network's district score (60% 5G + 40% 4G+) is scaled from 60 to 99. Without a district, every plan gets the same neutral 0.7.
  6. The result is shown as "X% requirement match". It is not an overall quality rating, and affiliate links never affect it.

Change history

Changes detected in our dataset for a plan's price, data, roaming, contract or terms are logged automatically with the date, and shown on the plan changes page and on each plan's own page. History only exists from when tracking was enabled; earlier changes were not recorded.
