About SIM Only SG
A free comparison tool for Singapore SIM-only mobile plans, built because checking fourteen providers by hand every time you want to switch is a terrible way to spend an evening.
What the site does
SIM Only SG lists current SIM-only price plans from Singapore's major telcos and MVNOs in one table, side by side: monthly price, local data, talktime, SMS, roaming data and international direct-dial calls. Because MVNOs ride on one of the four national networks, each plan also shows which network actually carries it, and recommendations can be weighted by measured 4G+ and 5G quality in your own postal district rather than by price alone.
How the plan data is gathered
The plan list is not typed in by hand and is not a static file. Each provider in the database carries the address of its own published plan pages. On a schedule, the site reads those pages, and a language model extracts the structured details — price, data, talktime, SMS, roaming and IDD terms — which are then written back to the database and stamped with the date they were last verified. The same plan name is updated in place rather than duplicated, so the table stays a single source of truth.
Automated extraction is fast but not perfect. Promotions, introductory rates and fine print can be missed or read late, so every plan links back to the provider's own page and the advice on this site is always the same: confirm the price and terms directly with the provider before you sign up.
Where coverage figures come from
District coverage indicators are derived from nPerf's crowdsourced measurements of Singapore's mobile networks, combined with published regulator figures. nPerf does not offer a public data feed, so the site stores its own snapshot of the scores per district and links out to the live nPerf map for the current picture. Treat the scores as a relative guide between networks, not a promise about the signal in your flat.
What this site is not
- It is not owned by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Singtel, StarHub, M1, Simba, GOMO or any other provider named here.
- It is not a shop. You cannot buy a plan through SIM Only SG, and no order data passes through it — sign-up happens entirely on the provider's own site.
- Advertising on this site is served by Google, and it is not what decides a ranking. No provider pays to sit higher — recommendations are computed from the plan attributes and coverage scores in the database.
- It is not a substitute for the provider's own terms, which always take precedence.
Who runs it
SIM Only SG is one person's personal project, not a company. It costs money to keep running — hosting, the database, and the AI used to read provider pages — which is why there is an optional PayNow coffee on the homepage. No one is obliged to pay anything, and the comparison tools stay free either way.
