How SIM-only plans work in Singapore

Last reviewed 03 Oct 2026

What you get

A SIM-only plan gives you a mobile number plus a monthly allowance of local data, talktime and SMS. You use your own phone, so there is no device instalment built into the price.

Many plans also include roaming data for selected countries and some international (IDD) call minutes.

SIM-only vs phone bundle

A bundle spreads the cost of a handset over a contract, usually 24 months. A SIM-only plan separates the two: you buy the phone however you like and pay only for the service.

Most SIM-only plans in Singapore are no-contract, meaning you can cancel or switch with short notice. Some operator plans still carry 12- or 24-month terms.

Before you sign up

Check whether the advertised price is promotional and what it becomes afterwards.

Check which network the provider runs on β€” coverage follows that network.

Check if your phone supports eSIM if you prefer not to wait for a physical SIM.

Confirm the details on the provider's own page; plan terms change often.
